HOW TO GO SOCKLESS THE RIGHT WAY

Going sockless has become a major trend. Want to join the club? Here are 6 fashion guides on how to go sockless. If you’re worried about abandoning proper hygiene for wanting to follow this style, we’ve got you covered in this blog post.

1. CHOOSE THE RIGHT STYLE OF SHOES

Loafers and moccasins are the go-to shoes for going sockless.

Choose the right style of shoes to go sockless. Loafers and moccasins are the ideal footwear for this look. Putting design aside, the shoes should consist of breathable materials like linen or canvas. Don’t go for loafers or moccasins with synthetic materials. They are not the best fabrics for giving your feet some air.

2. GO SOCKLESS IN NO-SHOW SOCKS

If you’re still conscious about pulling off a sockless look, here’s a suggestion: Try no-show socks.

Some people like to wear loafers and moccasins with no-show socks on. They give the impression of being barefoot and are out of sight in your shoes. Our No-Show Sikasoks can talk you into attempting the sockless style.

But wait, you must be thinking about whether no-show socks are safe to wear on your feet. Good question. Just like regular socks, no-show socks avoid blisters and absorb moisture that keeps your feet dry and odor-free. We must have taken some weight off your shoulders after reading this, huh?

3. PROPER HYGIENE

Still unconvinced up to this point with proper hygiene on your mind? Powder your feet. Foot powders have talcum (a mineral) and baking soda that purify sweaty feet. We also suggest following a daily care routine to keep your feet clean.

4. REMEMBER THE SETTING

The sockless look doesn’t always work in every setting. It can portray you as “laid back” in strict contexts. Here’s what to do. On casual occasions, go sockless in shorts, blazers, jeans, or chinos. Suits can work too, but not at weddings or formal events.

5. BOOST THE SOCKLESS LOOK WITH CROPPED PANTS

Wear cropped pants that reach above your ankle to pull off a sockless look.

If you want the sockless look to work like a charm, elevate it with cropped pants. The pants reach slightly above your ankle. If you’re going for loafers or moccasins, let them have heels to add an elegant touch to your sockless look. If you want to wear sneakers, make sure that your no-show socks are well hidden in the shoes to pull off the look.

If you don’t want to spend money on buying cropped pants, you can use any pants you have in your closet. How? Just roll them up in 2 or 3 folds! Watch the video below to find out the different ways to roll up pants:

Instead of buying cropped pants, you can roll up any pants you own for a sockless look.

6. TAKE SOME DAYS OFF

It’s always hard to say goodbye, especially to your loafers and moccasins. They need to take a break from your feet. Let them dry out for at least 24 hours. When you reunite again, check if they’re still wet or not. The longer you leave your shoes drying, the better for them and for your feet.
