Wakilni

Internet sensation El 3ama has gained national fame and appraise by making satirical videos in which he comments on the absurdity of Lebanese society. El 3ama’s videos are funny and insightful, tackling controversial issues like corruption and injustice. Yet, he remains hopeful for change as he inspires viewers to take action and not let themselves be fooled. And since at Sikasok, we share El3ama’s vision to inspire people to create change, it felt natural to collaborate with him. We designed three pairs of socks with El3ama, one of which is Deer El3ama, a Sikasok meant to grant wishes. It was released in December 2018 ans used as a platform for El 3ama to grant wishes for 5 of his followers. No posts found!

Koullouna

Koullouna is a subscription box that aims to connect all Lebanon-lovers to the country: each month, subscribers receive a box containing handpicked products made by local artisans and designers. The best part is that each Koullouna Box contributes to a local social initiative—meaning that subscribers can help Lebanon move forward, even from abroad. At Sikasok, we are proud of our culture and love to encourage every local initiative that works on promoting it—and Koullouna is no exception. That’s why we decided to join hands with Koullouna to become part of their very first box, the “Kankane” box. In Lebanon, the concept of “Kankane” means cocooning, staying at home on a cold, rainy day. We contributed to the box with a customised design, the “Kharj Kankane” Sikasok—“Feels like cocooning”. Rumor has it that people who wore these Sikasoks never experience cold feet again. No posts found!

Rana Salam

Rana Salam Studio’s unique approach feels both nostalgic and inherently modern, as it seamlessly blends elements ingrained in the Arab popular culture with bold patterns and vibrant colors—and we love it. Together, we worked on two pairs of socks. The first one—Chiclets—is a trip down memory lane for anyone who has grown up in the Middle East and has spent their childhood chewing these peppermint-flavored gums. The second—Umm Kulthum—celebrates the Arab world’s most fierce singer, whose voice was so powerful it still resonates across the globe today.   No posts found!
