HOW TO MATCH YOUR NAIL POLISH COLOR TO YOUR OUTFITS

Can’t decide on picking the ideal nail polish? We’ve got you covered with these 6 tips that help you choose the right nail color for a polished look. We’ve saved the best for last because it’s new and exclusive. It’s something you probably never thought of before. If you believe we included those tacky Starbucks-themed nails that you’ve seen on social media in our list, then visit another blog post. Sorry, not sorry. 1. WITH WHITE, CHOOSE PINK OR CORAL NAIL POLISH White clothes make a beautiful backdrop for fun and bright nails, especially pink and coral. Go for pink or coral nail polishes if you want to wear a white dress, pantsuit, or shirt. White makes a beautiful backdrop for fun and bright nails and adds a touch of sass. 2. BLACK OUTFITS: DON’T GO WITH BLACK NAIL POLISH Go for any nail polish except black to illuminate black clothes. Wearing black outfits allows you to choose any nail color. Let’s jump to the next point. Just kidding. All colors can work with black, but BLACK NAILS DO DON’T GO WELL WITH BLACK OUTFITS. We don’t want you to turn full goth for a polished look. Go for any color that can give some flair to your apparel. For example, try different shades of red, nudes, or yellow nail polishes to brighten your black pieces of clothing. 3. PRINTS: CHOOSE A COLOR AS NAIL POLISH Choose a plain color from prints. Suppose you have patterned shirts in your wardrobe. Would you recreate the pattern’s colors on your nails? Not only does that camouflage them, but it’s just… no, just no. Pick a color from your printed outfit and paint it on your nails. As a plus, let the nail color stand out from the rest of your outfit by being a shade darker or lighter. 4. BRIGHT-COLORED CLOTHES CALL FOR BLOCK NAILS Bright-colored clothes call for block nails. If you pick a colorful piece, then block your nails. Choose a color that contrasts nicely with the rest of your outfit. Also, include several colors in each nail to complement your look’s various colors. For example, if your outfit is yellow, match it to pink, coral, blue, and yellow that please the eye. If you want your nails to go on a whole new level, get inspired by the color wheel. 5. WHEN IN DOUBT, GO WITH THE BASICS If you’re stuck on picking a nail polish color, go for the basics (red, nudes, and pale pink). You know how the saying goes, “Let’s do it the old-fashioned way.” If you’re having a hard time pairing the suitable nail polish to your selected outfit, then stick to the basics. Nudes, red nails, and pale pinks work with any outfit at any time. You’ll save a lot of time from going through your entire nail polish collection. 6. MATCH YOUR NAILS TO YOUR ACCESSORIES Make fashion more fun by matching your nails to your accessories! We saved this best and exclusive tip for last—match your nails to your accessories! Choose any accessories you have and make your nails a part of them too. For example, if you want to wear a shiny necklace, let your nail polish be metallic-like. If you’re going to match it to your blue handbag, paint your nails blue too.  Check out our blog posts on accessories like shoes, bags, and jewelry to get other nail matching ideas. We give this unique fashion tip a big thumbs up for giving nails a different and stylish turn! Let’s repeat how to match your nail polish to your outfits: 1. Choose pink or coral colors with a white look, 2. Choose any color but black for black outfits, 3. Match your nail polish to a single color for printed clothes, 4. Block your nails, 5. Go for basic colors when you’re stuck, and 6. Match nails to accessories.   For more faboo women’s styling tips, check them out right here. For more accessorizing tips, click here.

THE COLOR WHEEL: A FASHION GUIDE ON MATCHING YOUR OUTFITS’ AND ACCESSORIES’ COLORS

Clueless about matching your outfits’ and accessories’ colors together? We give you the color wheel: the ultimate guide to choosing the right colors for a visually appealing and bold look.  Before we unpack the fashion aspect of this blog post, let’s understand what the color wheel is. 1. THE COLOR WHEEL The color wheel is a pie chart that shows different connections between colors. In 1704, Sir Isaac Newton invented the first asymmetrical color wheel in his “Opticks” novel. Since its creation, many artists and fashion designers have used the color wheel to create color combinations that uplift their works’ visuals. Thanks to its organized rainbow pattern, the chart presents the colors that work best together. 2. PRIMARY, SECONDARY, AND TERTIARY COLORS The color wheel is divided into 3 components: primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. The color wheel consists of 3 color components: primary, secondary, and tertiary colors.  Primary colors are pigment colors that can’t derive from other color combinations. They include red, blue, and yellow. Secondary colors are primary colors mixed. Secondary colors include green, purple, and orange. Tertiary colors mix primary and secondary colors. They have two-worded names, such as yellow-orange, blue-purple, and red-violet. 3. COLOR TEMPERATURES: WARM AND COOL Secondary colors mix into different shades of tertiary colors, or the color temperatures. Left of the color wheel: cool colors (blue, green, and purple). Right of the color wheel: warm colors (orange, yellow, red, and their mixtures). Every time you put secondary colors together, more shades of tertiary colors blend. Think of these shades as color temperatures that range from dark to light colors. They are known as warm and cool colors.  Warm colors classify as orange, yellow, red, and their blends. Just like the name, these colors make you think of warmth, such as heat and sunsets. Cool colors are blue, green, and purple. They make you feel calm when you look at them. Cool colors resemble water, skies, and snow.  Now that you know the color wheel, its components, and color temperatures, let’s dig deep into the fashion part of this blog post. 4. USE THE COLOR WHEEL TO MATCH COLORS Use the color wheel to match the right colors together. We finally made it to the main point—matching outfits and accessories with the color wheel. You’re probably thinking that looking at the color wheel gives you a free pass to choose any mix you want. Not quite. If you pick any dimensions from the chart, your whole outfit will look unbalanced. There are 2 color components that you must follow as rules of thumb: analogous and complementary colors. 5. STYLE YOUR LOOK WITH ANALOGOUS COLORS Analogous colors help you choose dark and light shades of adjacent colors that guarantee a glamorous look. Analogous colors fall right next to each other on the color wheel. They share similar color shades. Orange and yellow are examples.  If you have a go-to color for accessorizing your whole look, go for analogous colors. Choose dark or light shades of your favorite color that make you feel secure and glamorous. If you love black, let your outfit and accessories be a mixture of grey and beige. Black, grey, and beige colors are analogous colors that work well with each other. 6. STYLE YOUR LOOK WITH COMPLEMENTARY COLORS Complementary colors elevate your fashion by matching colors opposite each other on the color wheel. Complementary colors are for you if you want to elevate your fashion and step out of your comfort zone. They face opposite each other on the color wheel. They create color combinations you’ve never thought of before. Go for a yellow top and blue pants just like the pie chart indicates. And what do you know, you just created a bold and fabulous blend! Yellow and blue colors are complementary colors that create a bold look. After learning about the color wheel, start matching your outfits and revolutionize your fashion! Use it with some accessorizing, men, and women fashion tips.

HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT BAG FOR YOUR OUTFITS

Your stunning outfits are one thing, but your bags seal the deal! Let your purse, handbag, or satchel elevate your look and make you extra fashionable. Let’s get right on it and recommend you 5 fashion tips.  Our last pointer is an original fashion tip that no one has ever thought of before. You’re welcome! 1. CARRY THE PERFECT BAG FOR THE OCCASION If you’re going out to run some errands, you’ll need a big bag. Imagine going to a big gala event with a shoulder bag. Yeah, that’s REALLY hard to imagine.  Pick the right bag that fits the occasion. As a rule of thumb: the more formal the occasion, the smaller the bag; the more casual the occasion, the bigger the bag. Small bags add sophistication and glamor to your entire outfit. Big bags portray you as laid-back and simple.  2. EXPERIMENT WITH COLORS  Uplift your bag and style by trying new and different color mixtures. A red jumpsuit and a blue handbag would look pretty chic together. We didn’t come up with the mix—the color wheel did. Find out more color matching ideas right here. 3. UPLIFT BORING CLOTHES WITH PRINTED OUTFITS Printed and colorful bags transform your look from boring to glam. If you want to wear a plain outfit, don’t let your bags be a part of it. Let them have a printed design to light up a dull look. It can work the other way round if you match printed outfits to solid-block colored bags. 4. MATCH BAGS TO YOUR ACCESSORIES Matching your bags to accessories, shoes, and nail polish is a new and creative fashion fad to follow. Instead of mirroring your bags to your clothes, why not match them to your accessories? Pair them with the nail polish you have on for a new and creative spin. As a plus, add charms to your bags that work with any piece of jewelry you have on.It’s like your accessories teleported to your bags!  As a friendly suggestion, don’t go overboard with matching accessories. Match 2 pieces at most. 5. MATCH BAGS TO FUNKY SOCKS Matching your bags to your funky socks exudes confidence and personality. Yes, you read that right. This is the exclusive fashion tip we hinted at in the beginning! Mirror your bags to your funky socks’ print. If your socks have polka dots, stripes, or any other prints on them, let the bags have the same design. You can also choose a color from the socks to replicate the bag. Don’t be afraid to go bold and wear bags that display character. Trust us, carrying such bags around can give you confidence! Let’s recap the 5 tips needed to pick the right bags for your outfits: 1. Carry the right bag depending on the occasion, 2. Experiment with colors, 3. Carry printed bags when wearing simple clothes, 4. Match to accessories, and 5. Mirror them to funky socks.   For more women’s styling ideas, head here. For more fashion advice on picking your accessories for your outfits, click here.
